The 10th Annual Yellow Leaf Arts Festival

St. Francisville - October 26 and 27,2013

10:00am until 5:00pm

Welcome to the 10th annual Yellow Leaf Arts Festival happening each year on the last weekend of October in beautiful Parker Park in the heart of historic St. Francisville, Louisiana.  Authentic, genuine and full of small town charm, the Yellow Leaf has become a favorite of artists, craftspeople, musicians and collectors many of whom have been involved in each and every one of the eight previous festivals.   From 10 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon over 55 artists and craftspeople show and sell their paintings, pottery, metalwork, fabric art, wood pieces, sculpture, glass art, jewelry, carvings and more!  While many of the artists are from West Feliciana and surrounding parishes, some also come from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, and Mississippi.  The children will find fun art activities to try and there will be locally grown sweet potatoes baked, put into delicious pies, muffins, cakes and more!  You will find friendly people, see artists at work, have an opportunity to ask questions and buy treasures from the hands that made them.  What you won’t find are factory produced items for sale, noisy generators, or train rides!  At this festival, it really is all about the art!  And the music, the great live music….. Wow!  This year we have “The Acoustic Playboys”, “The Fugitive Poets”, Burke Ingraffia, Heather Feierabend, Jodi James and Becca Babin premiering their new all girl band, and the “songbird music school reunion jam!  Also this year we are honored to have poet Mona Lisa Saloy giving a workshop and reading her poetry and author Danny Heitman sharing from his book “A Summer of Birds” about John James Audubon.
